The Leasing & Franchising Advisory Committee provides ARA members with a centralised platform to engage on key issues related to commercial leasing agreements, tenancy rights, and franchising regulations.
This Advisory Committee consists of senior retail professionals responsible for leasing, property management, and franchise operations.
It plays a crucial role in informing and supporting ARA’s advocacy on leasing reforms, commercial tenancy protections, and franchising compliance.
This committee is open to nominated representatives from Premium ARA Members.

Purpose
- Advocating for a fair and competitive leasing environment, including transparent rental agreements and balanced lease negotiations.
- Supporting members in navigating franchising compliance, including obligations under the Franchising Code of Conduct and Australian Consumer Law.
- Contributing to policy discussions on commercial leasing, dispute resolution mechanisms, rent relief measures, and retail tenancy protections.
- Ensuring members remain informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in leasing and franchising.
